Based in Toronto, Valerie joined Swander Pace Capital in 2009 to identify and close transactions in Canada. Previously she was Managing Director at Roynat Capital Inc., a leading Canadian merchant bank. Ms. Scott's experience also includes senior positions at Calcap Merchant Bank, Working Ventures Canadian Fund and Ernst & Young Corporate Finance.  She is a graduate of the University of Toronto.  She is a former board member of Pineridge Bakery and Liberte Brand Products.
